Laptop Adoption
VB Laptop Adoption Program
Adopt an older laptop that's been retired from VB service for your own
personal use — great for basic tasks like browsing the web, checking
email, or working on personal documents.
Open to all VB employees. Supply is limited, so requests are handled
first-come, first-served with no estimated adoption date.
Laptops come with a basic Windows install only — no Outlook, Word, Excel, or other programs. You'll need to provide those yourself if needed.
Accessories (power supply, monitor, mouse) aren't included and may need to be purchased separately.
IT does not support these laptops once adopted — they're yours to care for.
You'll need to sign an agreement when your laptop is ready for pickup.

for you. You can submit more than one request if you're adopting more
than one device (for example, one for each of your kids) — just add a
note so IT can tell them apart.
